We are the Adventurers of the Carotian Union.

A year ago, most of us had never heard of the rest of us.

A year ago, who would have thought Adventurers of faith could work side by side with Adventurers who were no more than agnostic on their best days?

A year ago, only one of us had ever heard of Eliander, the mythic Lost Prince of Thalas, though legends said he was lost long ago to the flow of normal space-time, and that he would come again when his people most needed him.

But that's us! Passionate mystics, good-hearted and generous thieves, a holy knight who not only acknowledges but accepts Mysteries not his own, a bard whose voice can sing the very stones asunder, humankind, feline-kind, coatl-kind, and even metal-kind.

By no stretch of the imagination could we have been called the "A" team when the Carotian Pantheon first called us together. Some of us still maintain this mark that designated us for this quest was meant for someone else entirely. But, having nothing better to do the day the Stag of Minissa landed on skin, scales, or fur, we set off to find Thalas's fabled Lost Prince and save not only his world but our entire confederation of planets!
